We are Level 8 and Level 9 AQF consulting arborists with extensive experience across residential, commercial, and government projects. We deliver council-ready arborist reports across Melbourne and regional Victoria. A pre-purchase tree inspection from a qualified consulting arborist gives you a clear picture of the trees on and around your potential property, before you sign contracts. We assess tree health and structural condition, and identify planning constraints — including council tree controls, significant tree registers, planning overlays, and tree removal permit requirements — that may affect future development, renovations, or removal costs. Practical, straightforward advice before you commit.

Our Preliminary Arboricultural Assessments and Arboricultural Impact Assessments (AIA) help homeowners, architects, builders, and developers across Melbourne and regional Victoria meet Council planning requirements. A Preliminary Arboricultural Assessment, engaged at the concept design phase, identifies protected and significant trees, and planning overlay contrainsts, such as a Significant Landscape Overlay (SLO) or Vegetation Protection Overlay (VPO). This allows your design team to work around key trees and streamline planning permit approval.
Our Arboricultural Impact Assessments evaluate how proposed developments affect trees on and adjacent to the site, including tree root zones, and canopy impacts. These reports are commonly required by Council for planning permits, tree removal permits, extensions, and new dwellings.
With over 30 years of combined experience, we deliver solution-focused arborist reports that reduce delays and costly redesigns. If your Council requires an arborist report, we can help.

Our tree audits and tree risk assessments identify hazards — such as decay, structural defects, dead branches, and failure points — giving asset owners and managers across Melbourne and Victoria a defensible basis for tree management decisions. Whether for a private property, Council asset, school, body corporate, or commercial site, regular tree risk assessments are one of the most practical ways to manage liability, meet duty of care obligations, and stay ahead of unexpected tree failures.
Conducted in line with industry best practice including VALID Tree Risk-Benefit Management methodology, our reports draw on extensive climbing and aerial inspection experience and a deep understanding of how trees behave in urban landscapes. We deliver clear, well-reasoned arborist reports that support confident decision-making and ongoing tree management.
-
Tree Protection Specifications (TPS) and Tree Protection Plans (TPP) (formerly Tree Management Plans) are commonly required by Council to ensure trees are protected during demolition and construction. We prepare detailed, site-specific documents that outline protection measures (such as tree protection fencing), construction methods, and monitoring requirements that give you clear guidance and give Council confidence.
-
Appointing a project arborist to supervise works near protected trees is often a Council requirement in line with AS 4970:2025. Across Melbourne and Victoria, our project arborists carry out regular site inspections, monitor compliance with Tree Protection Plans and Tree Protection Specifications (TPP & TPS), and certify works at key construction stages.
Where excavation or services may impact tree roots, we coordinate non-destructive root investigations using hydro-excavation (air-spade and air-knife) to map roots accurately, inform design, and prevent damage to roots during construction.

When a planning dispute reaches the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the quality of expert evidence matters. As experienced consulting arborists, we have provided independant expert witness testimony in arboriculture across a range of matters, including tree removal objections and neighbourhood tree disputes. Whether you need an independent arborist expert witness, support for an existing VCAT case, or a peer review of another arborist's report, we bring the technical expertise, impartiality, experience, and professionalism these situations require.
